5.1 Concept Testing - 1 Concept
To remind you, my gap is Using space under the bathtub efficiently.
Here are user needs to make a perfect variant :
nice design
easy to open/close from every angle
easily clenable
it has space to put important things like shampoo and shower gel so one doesn't need to take them up in order to dust
easy to take out when lying in the bathtub
good quality of materials
it has some ventilation
resistant to water and humidity
it can be transformed into a table to put things on (books, wine, candles)
As some of my potential usears told me that Installed pockets might cause humidity under the bathtub and it is not practical, I decided to put the reading desk in one of the drawers
I selected two prototypes.
These are the prototypes selected:
1).
2.
2. If you were choosing yout bathtub, how likely would you be to buy this variant if it were available at the shop where you normally buy these things?
Definitely Probably Might Probably Definitely
would not would not not would would
buy buy buy buy buy
Most of the potential users selected probably would not buy, because they thought it might be uncomfortable to open the drawers in a tiny bathroom.
Here is my second choice:
2. 2. If you were choosing yout bathtub, how likely would you be to buy this variant if it were available at the shop where you normally buy these things?
Definitely Probably Might Probably Definitely
would not would not not would would
buy buy buy buy buy
The mayority of the potential users were more willing to buy this variant, as it saves more space and it is cheaper. + you can change the design of the doors (replace them for a good price) every year if you want to.
To sum up,
Sliding doors variant is more practical and target users are more willing to buy it, as it is easy to use, saves space, easy to open and is economical.
